I dealt with Michael at Southern California Mortgage and had a great experience. He was very responsive and easy to contact. I've heard horror stories of other companies where the brokers are impossible to get a hold of, but Michael responded quickly to every question I had--and I had many. I found it easier to correspond by email, and he always got back to me quickly (even on weekends); but he was also reachable by phone when needed. Additionally, the paperwork process was straightforward and clear, and doing it online expedited things so much faster than my last re-fi ten years ago. The process went smoothly and quickly; I would definitely recommend Southern California Mortgage to others, as well as do business again with them myself.

I have never written a review before, but after what Mike did, I have to. We built a home in the desert and wanted to refi after the home was complete. We talked with our historic mortgage broker and, while he offered a decent rate, his fees were going to be ~$4000. I decided to do some research and ran across Mike via Zillow. I gave him a call and he gave us our options and clearly defined the rates and the fees (and he had lower rates and no fees). But, after we started the process, we found that the title to our property was very "challenged". In addition, very few people have built custom homes where we live so there were no comps. Mike was able to get the title sorted out and the appraisal to an acceptable state through a great deal of hard work (which he said he enjoyed!). We also got a fantastic rate and no fees (just as Mike promised). Can't recommend him more highly.
